Apollo Bay is situated about 3 hours drive along the Great Ocean Road, South West of Victoria’s capital, Melbourne. Apollo Bay is a small township between the Southern Ocean and the Otway Ranges. It is the starting point for the world famous Great Ocean Walk, a 104 kilometre trek, that takes in the nearby Cape Otway and 12 Apostles. During whale season from May to October, Southern Right whales come to breed but you can also see a wide variety of other types.
